Destination Wedding Photographer FAQs
Style & Approach
Your
How would you describe your photography style?
I specialize in editorial destination wedding photography, capturing raw, real moments with a bold, artistic edge. I love using direct flash for striking images and often shoot vertically, letting each subject take center stage in the frame. My goal is always the same: make your love story feel timeless and unforgettable.
What's your approach to posing, especially for couples who feel awkward in front of the camera?
Posing isn't about stiff, unnatural positions. It's about helping you show the best version of yourselves. I believe everyone has an inner model, and it's my job to bring that out. Whether you're naturally comfortable in front of a lens or feel a bit awkward at first, I'll guide you with intention so you feel confident, seen, and actually have fun. Think of me as a friend who just happens to have a camera.
Can we get our photos in black and white?
Absolutely. I love the timeless, emotional feel of black-and-white photography, and many couples opt for a mix of color and black-and-white images. If there's a specific moment you'd love to see in black and white, just let me know.
Do you offer elopement or engagement packages separately from full wedding coverage?
Yes. Alongside full destination wedding coverage, I offer dedicated elopement photography and couples/engagement sessions across Spain and Europe, each with its own collection and pricing.
Pricing & Booking
Do you require a deposit to secure our wedding date?
Yes. A 40% deposit and signed contract lock in your date, with the remaining 60% due three weeks before your wedding.
How much does a destination wedding photographer in Spain cost?
Full-day destination wedding collections start at €2,000, which already includes 12 hours of coverage, travel, and taxes. No separate travel fees, ever. The most common add-on is extra coverage for events like a welcome dinner or next-day brunch. Reach out for a custom quote based on your celebration.
How far in advance should I book a destination wedding photographer in Spain?
Most couples book 12-18 months in advance, especially for weddings during peak season (May through September) or in popular regions like Mallorca and Ibiza, where dates fill quickly. If your wedding is sooner, reach out anyway. Availability sometimes opens up!
What's included in your destination wedding packages?
Every package includes full-day coverage, a collaborative planning process with video calls, mood boards, location recommendations, posing and movement guidance, and a private online gallery of high-resolution images. I've built 3 collections so you can choose what fits your day, and I'm always open to customizing one to work perfectly for you.
& Process
What happens if you can't make it on the day of our wedding?
Though it's extremely rare, I have a trusted network of photographers I work with. If something unexpected happens, you're always in good hands with a backup photographer who shares my style and approach.
Planning
How many weddings do you shoot each year?
I intentionally limit myself to 24 weddings a year. This lets me give each couple a highly personalized experience and the quality, attention, and care every wedding deserves, rather than treating it like a production line.
What's the process for working with you, from booking to receiving our photos?
Once you've booked, I'll send a contract and invoice for a 40% deposit to lock in your date, with the remaining 60% due 3 weeks before your wedding. From there, we'll plan together through calls, a detailed questionnaire, and location guidance in the lead-up to your wedding. On the day, I focus on capturing every real, unscripted moment. You'll receive a preview gallery shortly after, followed by your full gallery within 4-8 weeks.
Do you help with planning or location scouting for our wedding?
Yes. I don't believe wedding photography starts on the wedding day. My process includes planning calls, mood boards, timeline guidance, and location recommendations well before you arrive, so you feel supported through the whole journey, not just on the day itself.
Do I need a wedding planner for a destination wedding in Spain?
Not necessarily, but it's often a good idea, especially for legal paperwork and larger celebrations. I collaborate closely with planners when couples have one, and I'm happy to point you toward trusted planners across Spain if you need a recommendation.
Location & Logistics
Do we need to worry about legal marriage requirements if we're eloping in Spain?
Requirements vary depending on your nationality and whether you want your marriage to be legally recognized. Many couples choose a symbolic ceremony in Spain and handle the legal paperwork separately in their home country. This is worth confirming with a local wedding planner or legal advisor early in your planning, since I'm not able to provide legal guidance myself.
What's the best time of year to get married in Spain?
Spring (April-June) and early autumn (September-October) tend to offer the most comfortable weather for a Spain destination wedding, mild temperatures and softer light for photos, without peak summer heat. Coastal regions like Costa Brava and Costa del Sol can also work beautifully into early summer.
What are the best regions in Spain for a destination wedding?
It depends on the feeling you're after. Costa Brava suits cliffside, coastal ceremonies; Mallorca and Ibiza offer island villas and free-spirited energy; Costa del Sol brings warm Mediterranean light; and Barcelona offers editorial, city-set backdrops.
Do you travel outside of Spain for weddings?
Yes. Alongside weddings across Spain, I travel to shoot destination weddings and elopements throughout Europe, including France, Italy, and Greece.
What is the best way to contact you?
Feel free to reach out by email, phone, or the contact form on this site, whichever works best for you.
Delivery & After Your Wedding
How long after the wedding do we receive our photos?
You'll receive your full gallery within 4–8 weeks of your wedding day.
Do we get a highlight preview before the full gallery?
Yes. I send a preview of 5–10 photos within 48–72 hours after your wedding, so you can relive some of the magic right away.
Do you offer an album or prints?
Instead of albums, I offer 100 printed photographs presented in a handcrafted wooden box, personalized with your initials and wedding date. Each photo becomes its own small keepsake, perfect for framing, sharing, or holding onto for years to come.
